Bio
After graduating from Centre College, Kat earned her law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2012 and began her legal career clerking for a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Eastern Kentucky. She later served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, tackling high-profile federal cases with grit and grace before transitioning to private practice, where she found her true passion—helping individuals and families rebuild after devastating losses.
Now at Isaacs & Isaacs, Kat is known for her strategic mind, compelling advocacy, and relentless pursuit of justice. Whether it’s a trucking collision, a life-altering fall, or a case involving severe traumatic injuries, she combines meticulous legal skill with profound empathy for her clients—many of whom are navigating the darkest chapter of their lives.
Growing up in Appalachia and living with achromatopsia —a rare condition that limits her vision and color perception—Kat sees the world differently, both literally and metaphorically. She has turned what others might view as a limitation into her greatest strength: an unshakable focus, a heightened ability to read people, and a deep understanding of how to persevere through adversity.
Kat has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2020-2024.
Outside the courtroom, Kat enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her husband and young daughter, as well as reading and traveling.
