Bio
Zoelee Velez Lopez graduated Magna Cum Laude from Universidad Interamericana Law School of Puerto Rico in 2010. She knew she was going to become a lawyer since she was a kid. She started her practice in Puerto Rico focusing on civil and family law.
She moved to Kentucky in 2014 and started working as a Researcher for the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission, where she started the implementation of the 20 Year Action Plan for Fair Housing and developed the Fair Housing Assessment Tool.
While working with the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission, she was able to see firsthand how Hispanics struggle in their daily lives because of their lack of legal status. Born in Puerto Rico, she is fluent in both Spanish and English. So she took up their cause working as an Immigration Attorney for three years to give them the stability and rights they deserve.
For the last couple of years, she has been working as a personal injury attorney at Isaacs & Isaacs, helping clients during their darkest times. When not immersed in her work, she enjoys spending time with her family, doing yoga, Peloton, and reading.
