We successfully distributed thousands of backpacks filled with school supplies to children in need!
Isaacs and Isaacs Personal Injury Lawyers partnered with Stock Yards Bank for the second annual “Hammer’s Great Backpack Giveaway!” event. Created by Darryl “The Hammer” Isaacs, the event took place on Saturday, August 3rd at 10am – 12pm at McFerran Preparatory Academy, where thousands of backpacks filled with school supplies were given to children and families in need of them. We want to share a special ‘Thank You’ to our staff for their support as well as Stock Yards Back & Trust, McFerran Prepatory Academy, and the girls softball team at Atherton High School.
New this year, we gave away four bicycles at the event!
About The Event
15 million children come from families who can’t afford school supplies. That number grows every year, with parents and teachers doing their best as costs continue to rise. “Attending school is free,” says Isaacs, “but that doesn’t include the cost of supplies. Those supplies can make the all the difference in achieving success, acceptance, and a well-rounded education.”
The goal of Hammer’s Great Backpack Giveaway is to provide 3,000 children with backpacks filled with educational necessities to give them their best school experience, while freeing parents and teachers of the financial burdens that come with providing those advantages.
