Bio
Kristin holds Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio, where she majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Political Science and Psychology. Upon graduation from UD, she accepted a position with the Department of Defense, Defense Investigative Service, in Cincinnati, Ohio. There, she inspected and educated government contractors in physical, personnel, and electronic security of government-classified information. After three years with the DOD, she chose to attend law school, earning her Juris Doctorate at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.
Kristin is an experienced litigator, having represented plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court litigation and appeals involving personal injury, product liability, warranty claims, premises liability, insurance coverage disputes, insurance bad faith, and drug and medical device litigation, among other matters. Kristin also worked as law clerk to the Honorable Judge Martin E. Johnstone (retired) during his tenures on the Kentucky Supreme Court, the Kentucky Court of Appeals, and the Jefferson Circuit Court.
Kristin is admitted to practice law in all Kentucky courts, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. She is an active member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association.
Kristin spends her spare time with her family and friends. She enjoys attending live sporting events including Louisville Bats baseball games, as well as LouCity and Racing soccer matches. She is a lifelong runner, and a longtime member of the IU Southeast Concert Band. Kristin is also a member of the Floyd County Animal Rescue League (Indiana), with whom she volunteers as a board member and walking shelter dogs.
