I want clients to know that I an experienced litigator that is not afraid to go to court to fight for them.
I’ve only been here a little of 6 months but one case that stands out that I have completed is a personal injury case in which our client works three jobs helping disabled children. She was hit by a man (the defendant) who had been drinking and fled the scene of the accident. The defendant was driving his company vehicle at the time. The fact that he had been drinking didn’t come out until I examined him during a deposition.
During mediation, with the client present, I argued that the true value in the case is against the company who employed someone who drank in a company vehicle then committed a criminal offense by leaving the scene. The offer dramatically increased. I remember the client looking at me and saying she had never made that much money in year of working and that it would really change her life by allowing her to pay off all her debt. She was so happy with the settlement and I was happy to represent such a wonderful person.
