A brainchild of New York City based Axle Digital, WeWIN is a flexible application programming interface (API) platform that connects retailers as well as their customers, followers and fans with the causes they care about and provides nonprofits with the opportunity to leverage the power of well-known national retailers.
When Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012, the Axle team decided that its distributed commerce platform could serve a greater purpose. By directly integrating with retailer ecommerce systems, WeWIN provides a completely unique way for nonprofits to thank their donors with rewards redeemable through retail partners and enables retailers to engage their audience.

- The Platform:
The WeWIN platform brings brands and causes together using an extremely flexible and simple-to-implement platform. It is an API-based commerce application that interfaces with multiple applications and operating systems. It is designed using the latest .NET 4.5 framework as well as MVC5 for web-facing implementations.
WeWIN offers a web-based dashboard to allow nonprofit organizations and retailers to tap the information they need to connect and engage with their donors and customers. Nonprofits can easily incorporate tangible retail rewards like free coffee or a slice of pizza to thank their donors. Retailers can drive traffic to their stores and connect with their customers through causes and campaigns.
WeWIN’s technology offers seamless, experienced onboarding and POS technologies. Geofencing allows local and regional retailers to participate in national causes and campaigns facilitated by WeWIN with the ability to offer rewards down to a hyper-local level.
